User Guide¶
This guide is for users who want to install and use packages from the SynoCommunity repository on their Synology NAS.
Overview¶
SynoCommunity provides community-maintained packages for Synology NAS devices. These packages extend your NAS with applications not available in the official Synology Package Center.

Quick Start¶
Adding the Repository¶
- Open Package Center on your Synology NAS
- Go to Settings > Package Sources
- Click Add and enter:
- Name:
SynoCommunity - Location:
https://packages.synocommunity.com - Click OK
Installing Packages¶
- In Package Center, select Community from the left sidebar
- Browse or search for packages
- Click Install on the package you want
Beta Packages (DSM 6.x only)
Beta packages are only available on DSM 6.x. To see them, go to Settings > General and enable "Yes, I want to see beta versions". DSM 7.x does not recognize community beta packages.
