User Guide

This guide is for users who want to install and use packages from the SynoCommunity repository on their Synology NAS.

Overview

SynoCommunity provides community-maintained packages for Synology NAS devices. These packages extend your NAS with applications not available in the official Synology Package Center.

Quick Start

Adding the Repository

  1. Open Package Center on your Synology NAS
  2. Go to Settings > Package Sources
  3. Click Add and enter:
  4. Name: SynoCommunity
  5. Location: https://packages.synocommunity.com
  6. Click OK

Installing Packages

  1. In Package Center, select Community from the left sidebar
  2. Browse or search for packages
  3. Click Install on the package you want

Beta Packages (DSM 6.x only)

Beta packages are only available on DSM 6.x. To see them, go to Settings > General and enable "Yes, I want to see beta versions". DSM 7.x does not recognize community beta packages.
